NOTICES / ADVISORIES

NOTICE - REMOVAL OF EQUESTRIAN CAMPING

Effective June 17, 2021

Equestrian camping has now been removed from the Crescent Falls Campground.

Equestrian users are still able to stage for day rides from the upper day use parking lot.

The removal is in response to:

  • a severely diminished equestrian camping experience due to a large increase in day use visitation and associated parking
  • increased demand for picnic areas for Crescent Falls for day use activities

CAPACITY LIMITS - CRESCENT FALLS DAY USE AREAS

Effective August 18, 2020

Capacity limits are now in place for the day use area up to and including the September long weekend.

Access to the day use area will be actively controlled once the maximum capacity has been reached.

Vehicle capacity will be limited to 70 vehicles in total (including the lower/upper parking lots).

No parking will be permitted along the sides of the hill, between the upper and lower parking lots.

Please obey all signs in the park.

More Albertans are enjoying our provincial parks, and we may have to turn people away. Thank you for your compliance and we apologize for any inconvenience.
