ABOUT US

Westward Bound Campgrounds was born in 2010. It began as a small group of friends operating provincial parks in the West Country for the Government of Alberta.

For the past few years, Lonnie and Adena Earl have operated the company alone. They are married with two grown children who have been involved and are still involved in the operation of Westward Bound.

Our operation includes 14 campgrounds and 15 group campgrounds:

  • Medicine Lake
  • Horburg
  • Chambers Creek
  • Jackfish Lake
  • Saunders
  • Harlech
  • Beaverdam
  • Fish Lake
  • Aylmer
  • Blackstone
  • Goldeye Lake
  • Snow Creek
  • Crescent Falls
  • Dry Haven
  • Kootenay Plains
  • Thompson Creek
  • Two O’Clock Creek
  • Shunda Viewpoint

We work closely with the local Parks Department, and have a good relationship with the conservation officers and park rangers. We have been in operation for 13 years and have thoroughly enjoyed working with the public in a service capacity.

We open campgrounds in early May each year and close on the Thanksgiving Monday, weather permitting. We are a major employer in the West Country each season and look forward to providing excellent service and campground care in the future.

We take great pride in our campgrounds and will do everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

All prices subject to change at any time without notice.
